About The Holidays, Incorporated
In 1961, four professional African American women in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, sat down at a card table and decided they would not just play bridge — they would build something. Something that would outlast them. Today, The Holidays, Incorporated spans 25 chapters nationwide, touches four generations of families, and stands as a testament to what sisterhood, service, and a shared purpose can create.
We are Holidays. Our husbands are Labor Days. Our children are Everydays. Our grandchildren are Somedays. And together, we have been building a legacy since 1965.
The Winning Hand Endowed Scholarship
For more than six decades, The Holidays, Incorporated has contributed annually to the United Negro College Fund. In 2025, we took a bold step forward — establishing the Winning Hands Endowed Scholarship in partnership with UNCF. This initiative transforms years of annual giving into a permanent endowment, ensuring that deserving young people will be supported in perpetuity.
Every gift is a card played in service of a lasting legacy for future scholars.
